Glenn De Caire’s law enforcement career spanned more than 35 years, serving the communities of Toronto and Hamilton in a variety of functions from front line operations, investigations and administration. Glenn proudly served as the Chief of Police for the Hamilton Police Service until January 2016. He is currently Director, McMaster University Security & Parking Services.
He is a graduate of York University and the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He graduated from the latter in 2001 as Class Valedictorian, the second international student in the Academy’s history to be so honoured. He maintains professional certifications with the Ontario Municipal Managers Institute as a Certified Municipal Manager III and the Canadian Institute of Management in 2008 as a Professional Managers and in 2016 as a Chartered Manager.
Glenn continues to serve the community in Hamilton as a volunteer with local charities. He has actively supported Liberty for Youth, CityKidz, Eva Rothwell Centre, Catholic Youth Organization Camp Marydale and Camp Brebeauf and the Good Shepherd.
Glenn is the proud recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and Police Exemplary Long Service Medal, and is an Officer in the Order of Merit of Police Forces. Glenn is proudly serves the Argylls as a member of its regimental Senate.
